Who are we?
Brown University’s club quadball (previously “Quidditch”) team.
We are a tight-knit group of friends who support each other on and off the pitch.
We are fun and competitive - we turn nerds into jocks and jocks into nerds.
We are welcoming of all identities and genders.
Whether or not you’ve ever played a sport or watched a Harry Potter movie, you’ll find your future favorite people here.
What is quadball?
Maybe you’re familiar with Quidditch, the fictional sport from the Harry Potter series. Almost twenty years ago, quidditch was adapted to what is now known as quadball, an organized competitive sport played (in real-life) at different levels in over 40 countries.
Quadball is a full-contact sport, featuring elements of basketball, dodgeball, and rugby all while remaining gender-inclusive.
Brown’s quadball program competes in United States Quadball (USQ) events and is a member of the Massachusetts Quadball Conference.
Why play quadball?
Quadball is a sport about community and inclusion, often accessible where other sports are not.
With over one-hundred recognized college and club teams in the United States, being a quadball player means being a part of a larger network of athletes across the country, many of whom become friends for life.
Quadball players come in all sizes, shapes, and genders. Anyone can excel at this game, whether you're a seasoned athlete or someone trying the sport thing for the first time.
Whether you’re playing or watching, quadball games are exciting, competitive and guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat — or broom, if you're playing!
